Typically, I offer a 5-day online meditation series every month. However, I slowed the pace of that over the last couple of years due to the on goings in my personal life and a need to re-assess my time and energy. You might remember that the last time I offered a series, it was June.
As the summer days started to move forward, I ended up experiencing a small accident which resulted in a fractured ankle and dislocated foot. At the time, I thought it was a senseless accident. I was not paying attention and it simply happened.
When I first fell, I was in shock of course. I was not sure if anything was broken or if it was simply a sprain. As I waited for the ambulance to arrive, I asked myself, “Was there a lesson for me here?” Yes, it was a random accident, but it is my internal nature to inquire. Life was presenting me a pause, and I had no choice but to accept it.
What more could I do but to stop everything and take time to heal and reflect. It was time to turn my attention towards myself, away from my online series, books, and social media accounts. When you are self-employed, you are always using your time to move your work forward, and I am used to that pace. However, there was nothing I could do but go through the surgery, accept the fact that I now have foreign objects like plates and screws in my ankle forever and deal with the trauma that came with it. People often say, “Keep moving forward no matter what” – and well, I’m not sure how helpful that is since life is obviously moving everyone forward. Let’s face it, sometimes a pause in life is required, even for those who live their life with a regular practice. At some point, everyone needs time to reflect, shift course if that is what is required, change one’s perspective and give oneself time to re-think how and what we want. And my accident provided me just that.
Was it actually senseless? For me, it seems like there was a point to it all.
I am still in the process of sorting the whole experience out as I work through a 3-month recovery. I am sure that as time naturally moves me forward, it will become even clearer to me the purpose behind it. In the meantime, it naturally led me to “turn towards myself” amidst surgery, mobility issues, the lack of personal freedom to pick up and go somewhere at whim, as well as relying on friends for basic life things.
The simple enjoyments in life that we normally take for granted, I have been forced to re-learn. If you have experienced something similar, you can probably relate.
I have been practicing, leading classes and writing about the experience of meditation for well over a decade now, and life keeps reminding me that I am forever a student in this life-path, and that the human experience will always keep presenting challenges for us to work through
in this school we are all in – called ‘life.’
How incredibly sacred the feeling of coming home to oneself is.

Register anytime, and the pre-recorded 20-minute guided sessions will be emailed to you. You can then practice when it is convenient for you.
The meditation links are emailed out and participants can then decide when to listen to them based on what works with their schedule.
My sessions are approximately 20-minutes long. To help with busy schedules, the meditations remain available for 2-weeks after they are sent out, in case you miss a day or would like to listen and practice along more than once. Often participants enjoy re-visiting their favourite recordings multiple times.
$50 + HST
*Due to the rising costs of pretty much everything these days, I am lowering the fee for this series to $10/day so it is accessible.

5. No experience necessary. Classes are open to everyone of all ages and abilities. No previous meditation experience necessary.
6. Grab a set of earphones, find a quiet comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed and press play!
It does not matter where you live or what time zone you are in.
A note from Jacqualine: When I create my meditation sessions, I fast. I drink herbal tea or my favourite morning hot beverage of steeped freshly grated ginger, fresh mint and organic lemon juice. If fasting becomes a challenge, have fresh fruit. If that is too difficult, have fresh vegetables. Try fasting over the 5 days of practice, if you can. If you have dietary challenges, speak with your health care provider before fasting. I am not a physician and do not give medical advice, so check this out first if you have any health concerns. For everyone else, try it if you feel drawn to the idea. Fasting while I produce the recordings is a very sacred experience for me. When you combine fasting and meditation, it takes it to a whole other level. You become lighter, more focused, more conscious and more in tune with source energy.
